Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the brilliant evening you provided for our wedding reception. Everyone enjoyed it so much, even those who had never been to a ceilidh before said they were amazed at how easy it was to dance after you had explained the steps to them. My dad has not stopped talking about the band “He” booked for “His” daughters wedding. (I think he expected a load of scruffy folkies)He was very impressed with the smart kilts you all wore. Dear Bill and the Foolish Virgins,
I am writing to thank you very much for the surprise barn dance that you played for my dad’s 60th birthday. He didn’t expect to meet up with his old friends again and they had a smashing time talking over their past. The music was great especially that young lad on the accordion, dad has always loved accordion music. Dad’s sister, Aunt Jane, said she remembered the days when all dances in that village hall had that kind of music. We will book you again for Mum’s 60th next year in November.

Hi Foolish Virgins Ceili Band.
Thank you for coming to our Silver Wedding get together. All of our friends who were there said they enjoyed the music and dancing and found it very easy considering they had never done it before. My mother, who is nearly 80 can not stop talking about the “Smart young man” who showed us what to do, I think she fell in love with him. She also keeps mentioning the “Real” music, not what you get on the wireless these days. Our son is getting married next year and we would love you to play for the wedding but the reception will be in Scotland and his girlfriends parents will be organising things but we’ll try to talk them round if you will travel that far

   I am just dropping you a line to say thank you for your time and consideration for my daughters wedding. When organising a wedding there are a million things to do and booking your ceilidh band seemed so easy compared to most other things. Your letter with booking confirmation was one less thing I had to worry about and your flexibility with changing times to fit in with the meal and buffet was greatly appreciated. However the best bit was when you took over the whole evenings entertainment and I was able to relax and enjoy the event at last. The music couldn’t have been better and I’m sure our friends and relations will talk about this wedding for years to come.

On October 20th you played at my daughter Rachel’s wedding, the day itself was already brilliant, but to be topped off with The Foolish Virgins made it super brilliant, what fun, what exercise, what mistakes, of course until you put us right,
Strip the willow in full flow has to be one of the most mind-boggling things to take part in but so enjoyable when it all comes together. Thanks also to Sam for playing that Spanish piece of music on the accordion, I took the hint I'll never be that good. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it.
You can guarantee I'm already telling people about that evening and you are all highly recommended.

To Bill and the boys!
Thank you so much for providing a truly fabulous evening of music and dancing when you played at our wedding reception at Sandburn Hall. Everyone had a fantastic time and so many people have said how much fun they had on the dancefloor! You did such a good job at getting everyone involved Bill, even with a bad ankle! I don’t think any of us realised what hard work Ceilidh dancing is! You played such a variety of music that got most of the guests to their feet, from our grandparents through to our youngest cousins – a super night was had by all.
We’ll be calling on you to perform at many an anniversary party!

Hi Bill,
 
What can I say, your band was terrific, I have had a week of none stop emails, texts, phone calls and letters about the party and your band, we were all really impressed, everyone loved the music and your direction.
 
For many that was their first experience of a ceilidh, and now many of them want another one soon, the kids loved it too and no one can remember the last time my uncle danced and to everyone’s disbelief he got up and wouldn’t sit down.
